Kofa for Communities

Give your community its own marketplace.

Start a new community, or bring the group you already run on Facebook, at your church, or in your building. Your members rent, sell, and book from each other, and 10% of every transaction goes back toward your fundraiser or whatever your group is building.

Already have a group? Keep it where it lives. Just share your Kofa link.

How it works

Up and running in minutes

1

Create your community

Name it, add your area, make it open or invite-only. Free.

2

Share your link

Post it in your group chat, text it, or add it to a flyer. Members join in a tap.

3

Members transact, you earn

Your people rent, sell, and book services inside the group, and you earn 10% of every transaction.

The math

Here's what 10% looks like

Your community earns on what members actually book. Every rental, every sale, every service.

$40 speaker rentalyour community gets $4
$60 lawn mowing serviceyour community gets $6
$150 photo sessionyour community gets $15
$200 house cleaningyour community gets $20

Where the 10% comes from

Kofa charges a service fee on every booking, the same way Airbnb or Turo does. It shows at checkout as Service fee (10%) and is the same on every booking. Your 10% is what Kofa would have kept, but it is paid to you instead as part of our partner program.

Twenty members booking a few things a month adds up faster than most groups expect.

Questions

Good to know

Is it free to start?
Yes. Creating a community and listing are free. Kofa charges a service fee only when a booking actually happens, the same way Airbnb or Turo does, and it is the same on every booking. Your 10% is what Kofa would have kept, but it is paid to you instead, so your members are not charged more because your group earns.
How do I get paid?
You earn 10% of every rental, sale, and booking in your community, and it pays out to your own bank account. Earnings unlock once you have 10 members, you can cash out at $100, and payouts run weekly after a short review window. To receive one you verify your identity once and connect a bank account.
Is it safe for my members?
Every payment runs through Stripe and is held until handoff. Higher-value rentals require a one-time ID check, rentals can carry refundable deposits, and pickup and return are documented. Ratings and reviews keep everyone accountable.
Can it be private, just for our group?
Yes. Make your community open so anyone can join, or invite-only so people request to join and you approve them. Private communities keep listings and members inside the group.
Do members need the app?
No, and most will not use it. Anyone can browse your community with no account at all. An account is only needed at the moment somebody actually books something, and everything works in a normal browser: listing, booking, paying, messaging. The app is faster for people using it regularly, especially anyone renting things out often.
Can we use it to fundraise?
Yes. Communities like churches and nonprofits put their earnings toward a goal, members rent and sell, and the group raises money together.
How much work is this for me?
Setup is about fifteen minutes, once. After that the running cost is small: share the link where your group already talks, and encourage the members who already have things to rent or services to offer to put them up. The transactions happen between members. You are not processing payments, handling deposits, or settling disputes.
What can members actually rent and sell?
Anything they own that other people need occasionally, plus services. Tools, trailers, event and party gear, cameras, baby and kids' gear, outdoor equipment. On the services side, anything from photography and catering to lawn care, cleaning, and repairs. Everything is handed over in person: pickup, drop-off, or the provider travelling to the customer. Kofa does not ship.
Where is Kofa available?
The United States. Members outside the US cannot create an account yet.
Are we locked in?
No. Your Facebook group, your building, your congregation stay exactly where they are. Kofa is only where the transaction happens. There is no contract and no minimum, and you can stop using it whenever you want without it affecting your group.
